After Your Microinfusion Facial (Dermal Nano Infusion): 48‑Hour Do's & Don'ts
By Skin by Nesrin | October 14, 2026
Nesrin’s known for expert techniques and the kind of skincare advice you actually use at home, and the most important tip right after Dermal Nano Infusion is this: keep your skin calm for 48 hours. That means no sun, no heavy sweating, no hot baths or pools, and ideally no makeup for the first 24 hours. Stick to gentle cleansing, hydration, and the simple routine we send you home with so your skin can hold onto that fresh, bright look.
Your first 24 to 48 hours: the calm-skin checklist we swear by
Dermal Nano Infusion is a microinfusion facial that combines the essentials of a European facial with advanced technology to deliver active ingredients deeply into the skin, targeting age spots and supporting collagen production. Because your skin is freshly resurfaced and more reactive right after, what you do in the first two days matters.
48-hour non-negotiables: keep it gentle, keep it clean, keep it out of the sun.
Do this
- Cleanse with a gentle, non-scrubby cleanser. Lukewarm water only.
- Use a hydrating serum and a simple moisturizer. Think comfort, not actives.
- Sleep on a clean pillowcase and keep your phone screen clean if you touch it to your face.
- If we’ve cleared you for SPF, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ and reapply. San Diego sun still hits hard when it’s cloudy.
Skip this
- Hot yoga, heavy gym sessions, long runs, and anything that makes you sweat a lot.
- Saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, and hot tubs.
- Pools and ocean swims for the first 24 to 48 hours. Chlorine and salt can sting and dry you out.
- Makeup for 24 hours when you can. If you must, keep it minimal and apply with clean hands or a disposable sponge.
For our Rancho Bernardo, Carmel Mountain Ranch, and 4S Ranch clients, this is the time to skip hiking, golf, or cycling for 48 hours. Your glow will thank you.
Days 3 to 7: keep the glow, don’t “help” your skin too much
A pattern we see a lot is that people feel so smooth and bright after one targeted facial that they want to double down at home. Don’t. Your skin usually does best when you keep things boring for a few more days.
For at least 3 to 7 days, avoid retinoids and exfoliants, including scrubs, acids (AHA/BHA), and aggressive cleansing devices. Dermal Nano Infusion already gives you that gentle resurfacing effect. Stacking too many actives can bring on extra dryness or irritation, and it can dull the result you just paid for.
Quick reality check: If you’re peeling, flaky, or a little tight, that’s your cue to add hydration, not exfoliation.
And stay serious about sun protection. San Diego’s year-round UV is one of the biggest reasons we see pigment come back faster than it should. If you’re in Poway, Rancho Peñasquitos, Sabre Springs, or Rancho Bernardo and you’re outside a lot, plan on reapplying SPF more than once.
The simple products that protect a Dermal Nano Infusion result
For the first week, we like a routine that supports the work we just did in the treatment room. Our Dermal Nano Infusion uses advanced nano technology to deliver active ingredients deeply, and the goal at home is to keep your skin comfortable so it can respond well.
Cleanser: gentle, fragrance-light, no exfoliating beads or polishing grains.
Hydration: a simple hydrating serum and moisturizer. If your skin is thirsty, apply in thin layers instead of one thick coat.
SPF: broad-spectrum SPF 30+ once we’ve cleared you for it. Reapply if you’re near windows, driving, or outdoors.
If you’re unsure what counts as “too active, ” bring your product list next time or send us a quick note. We’d rather you ask than guess.
What’s normal after nano infusion, and when we want to hear from you
Mild redness and a little warmth can happen after Dermal Nano Infusion and usually settles within a day or two. Some people feel extra smooth right away, others notice the brightness more into the next day. Both are common.
“My skin felt silky smooth and appeared brighter afterwards and into the next day.”

We want you to reach out if redness gets worse after day two, if you have swelling that doesn’t calm down, if you see any discharge, or if something just feels off. You’re not bothering us. A quick check-in can save you days of frustration.
If you’re planning around life: Families and commuters love a tight 48-hour checklist. If you can, schedule your microinfusion facial before a quieter couple of days so you’re not squeezing in workouts, sun, and makeup right away.
Ready for your next step? Dermal Nano Infusion is $185, and we’ll map out a plan that makes sense for your skin, not a random calendar.
